The Culinary Competition at Panmen | Suzhou Chef King Championship at Panmen Station

The Chef King Competition organized by the Suzhou Tourism Bureau will be held at the Panmen Scenic Area, Shihu Jinling Garden, and Taihu RV Camping Park. Next Monday and Tuesday, on the 17th and 18th of this month, it will take place at the Panmen Scenic Area. Imagine the scene of renowned chefs from both domestic and international hotels competing on stage, together creating a captivating picture of "The Taste of Panmen" that makes one drool!

Event Schedule:

50 teams will compete in 7 rounds, with 1 to 2 teams advancing from each round. If there are fewer than 12 teams, the remaining teams will be revived based on their scores. The Panmen Scenic Area will serve as the first venue for the Suzhou Chef King Competition, responsible for the selection of the first and second rounds, with the specific arrangements as follows:

Round 1, all day on October 17, contestants 1-6;

Round 2, all day on October 18, contestants 7-12.

The remaining rounds 3-7 will be held atSuzhou Taihu No. 1 RV Camping Park andSuzhou Shihu Jinling Garden Hotel. Interested friends can also come to watch.

Competition Rules:

The competition will simulate a contest format, where contestants will select from 70 ingredients and prepare three dishes: an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert within 4.5 hours. Each selected ingredient must be used; otherwise, it will be considered a violation. Each team has the right to swap ingredients once, requesting one ingredient from any team and giving one of their own ingredients to that team.

At the same time, contestants must prepare a "signature dish," with all ingredients, seasonings, and utensils provided by themselves. The winner of each round will teach the audience how to make a dish withregional characteristics and cultural connotations.Special dish.

Judges:

There are a total of 9 judges for this event, including 5 professional judges, 2 media judges, and 2 public judges (recruited through media). Liu Hong, the host of Shanghai Lifestyle Channel's "Popular Cuisine," will provide spicy comments on-site, which can add or deduct points.Award Settings:①

The first place in the selection round will receive the honorary title of "Suzhou Skills Grand Prize" and, with the approval of relevant units, will be awarded the "May Day" Labor Medal; the second and third places will receive the honorary title of "Suzhou Technical Expert." The Chinese chefs who qualify for the selection round can voluntarily participate in the Level 3 (Senior) theoretical assessment for Chinese cooking chefs. Those who pass will be issued a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification Certificate for Chinese Cooking Chefs by the Suzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The top three in the selection round will also receive the 2016 Special Contribution Award for the Inheritance of Su Cuisine Culture. Additionally, there will be 5 "Online Voting Popularity Awards."

②The top ten "signature dishes" will be awarded the "Top Ten Signature Dishes of Suzhou" plaque and will be showcased on various media platforms such as Weibo, WeChat, Tencent, Baofeng, Fengxing, PPTV, Xunlei, Suzhou TV, Suzhou Daily, Gusu Evening News, and Urban Business News. They will also be directly included in the first batch of exhibits in the Su Cuisine Museum and the "Chef King Gold Medal Recipe" album.

Commentary Awards:This event has a special "Civilized Tourism Award," where one lucky audience member will be drawn from those who participate in guessing on exclusive pages like "Baiqu Network" for each round.
