In the golden autumn of October, with the fragrance of osmanthus in the air, after the National Day holiday, the Panmen Scenic Area welcomed the "2016 China-US Tourism Year: Thousands of American Tourists Visiting the Jiangnan Water Town" event, guided by the National Tourism Administration and the Jiangsu Provincial Government, organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Tourism Administration and the Suzhou Municipal Government, and hosted by the Suzhou Tourism Bureau, along with the Chef King Competition organized by the Suzhou Tourism Bureau.
Dragon Boat Festival Activities
The Dragon Boat Festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, is one of the major traditional cultural festivals in our country. The ancient water and land city gate and city wall preserved in Suzhou is the only one in the world, built by Wu Zixu during the Spring and Autumn period.
