During this period, the northwestern wind begins to become a regular occurrence in many regions of China, temperatures drop, gradually falling below 0°C. However, the earth is not too cold yet; although it starts to snow, the amount is not large, hence it is called Light Snow.

During the Light Snow period, the yin energy decreases and the yang energy rises, causing a disconnect between heaven and earth, and the interaction of yin and yang ceases. All things lose vitality, and the world becomes closed off, transitioning into severe winter. In areas north of the Yellow River, the first snow will appear, reminding people to keep warm.

This morning, my social media feed was flooded with snow. It is said that the cold air from yesterday brought snowflakes to places like Nanjing, Nantong, and Shanghai. However, so far, my Suzhou remains calm, and no snowflakes have fallen in the city yet. That's okay, the Light Snow period has arrived, and I believe the snowflakes in Suzhou will come soon.
